2026 INNOBOT 5TH ASIA-PACIFIC STEM/AI TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION CHALLENGE (SINGAPORE)

Overview

The InnoBot Asia-Pacific STEM/AI Technology Innovation Challenge was first launch in 2021 in Hong Kong. After successfully running for five years, the challenge has expanded to include regional competitions in Singapore and Malaysia, reflecting the growing interest in robotics and AI education across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year’s competition, titled “Green Guardians: Green Sanctuary Series,” directly aligns with Singapore’s commitment to sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students will engage with cutting-edge robotics technology to address pressing environmental challenges through:

  • Simulated waste recycling and classification systems
  • Freshwater purification processes
  • Renewable energy generation (wind and hydro)
  • Tree planting and ecosystem restoration

Participants will design and program two robotic vehicles (an AI autonomous robot and a mechanically controlled robot) to complete sustainability-focused tasks, developing crucial STEM skills while cultivating environmental stewardship. This innovative approach perfectly embodies how emerging technologies can be harnessed to address climate change challenges – a theme that resonates strongly with our current global context.
